RV Toll Pass is ideal whether you are towing a vehicle behind a motorhome or towing a travel trailer behind your truck or SUV. The lead vehicle needs the RV Toll Pass transponder while in the towing configuration. The vehicle being towed should not have an active toll transponder as this could result in duplicate transactions. The license plate of each vehicle needs to be registered and active on your RV Toll Pass account. If either vehicle has a non-RV Toll Pass transponder, or sticker tag, it must be disabled while using the RV Toll Pass. To disable, remove and place your existing transponder in the bag your RV Toll Pass came in and put it in your glovebox or use the tag shield to cover an existing sticker tag.
You can use the RV Toll Pass on the non-stationary vehicle once you have stopped to camp, as long as the vehicle plate is registered and active on your RV Toll Pass account. Please note that you could be charged a higher toll rate should you utilize one of the rare toll roads that use transponder classification rather that employing automatic vehicle classification such as axle count.
